Ever since my grandfather passed, I have been thinking about the legacy he left behind. And what made me think was the fact that he wrote a hand written letters for all his daughters, son and grand kids.
He was a man of conviction and great conduct, he stood strong for what is right, I saw a great example in him. He was always known for being wise and generous. Though he didn't have lot of money, he always gave something in return and nobody went hungry from his home.
We always heard the story of how he got married to our grandma and how they raised seven children, and how they stood strong together through thick & thin. He was a man of principles and many followed his advise.
Many a time, we misunderstand the true meaning of happiness and success. Everyone has the ability to influence others and I believe that's what he did. He passed on his wisdom and his life lessons. What better way but to learn from someone else's experience, isn't it?
We often think money is the only form of legacy we can pass on to our next generation, we forget to teach the life lessons that we have learnt, which perhaps might help them take right decisions. We don't have to know everything but the thin line between what's right and wrong.
In the loving memory of my grandfather
