Small victories do count

Growing up I was fairly a smart kid and always participated in several acedamic and sport competitions. I was excited to be a part of it. In fact running was my favourite sports.

I was known for my mischievous act in my childhood. Always caused some trouble in playful ways. Every summer when we visited our grandparents house for few days my mother used to be worrid and she would always keep an eye on me to make sure I don't create problems for other kids of my age. When I was busy playing, I remember my cousins and friends doing great at their studies and other curriculum activities. I was always pointed out how kids of my age gotten way ahead in education, which never bothered me intact, may be because my parents never said anything negative to me.

As years passed, competition only increased. My intention was always to excel at what I did. Did I win every time, I would be lying if I said yes. But at every step in my life success or failure my family was always with me. My dad always said one thing and he still says the same, "no matter what, I am always with you". When ever I thought I was no good, I always reminded myself what he told me "you have everything it takes, you are capable of doing it".

However soon I realized that I need to get back on track & study well for my own good. I still remember clearly, we arranged an annual function in collage and  everyone were invited. As I was the collage secretory, few seats were reserved in the front row for my family. I was onstage along with college faculties. I could intact he family sitting right in front. All I thought was, it's so worth it. Making every effort to do my utmost, everything was so worth it. As far as I remember, this was my first success.

Like we all know, success is the sum of small efforts done every day and it's a series of small wins. Donald Duck was not a overnight creation. Every set back was a setup for new opportunities and every small success was celebrated.

I urge every one to look back and remember that sweet moment when you felt happy and proud of yourself. Just a small taste of succes in past can push you through some big setbacks in life. You have everything that it takes to succeed.
