Does failure lead to success?

As much as I believe in writing Goals which drives our thought process towards future Success, I also strongly believe that we need to write down our failures and set backs in life. here is my question to you- when was the last time you did write your Goals ? and when was the last time you reflected on the lessons you learnt from your past failures?

Our current circumstances don't determine our destination , it doesn't promise neither success nor failure. Where we are today is purely based on our past decisions and choices we made. If we were to reach our desire destination, retrospection plays a critical role. and when we do that , we not only have to evaluate success but also consider our set backs and the decisions that caused them.

We always hear about work ethic and willingness to work hard, which potentially help us reach our goals. If you haven't read the Book The Slight Edge, I urge you to do so. Jeff Olson the author explains how it is not just about willingness to win but mastering the mundane activities and the magic of compound effect.

When we meet a successful person, we see that they always talk about their failures as much as their success. Successful people understand the importance of lessons learnt from failures, because that's one of the ways we learn. We can not expect different results by doing the same things over and over. I urge you all to acknowledge your mistakes, know what went wrong and how can you improve. If you retrospect and learn , rest is assured that you are closer to Success.

Failures do make us more humble and grounded , as the journey to success is through failures. Eventually, our goal is not to stop failing but dusting our self every time we fall and move on, doesn't matter if we see more failures on our way than success. We will not stop until we reach our desired destination.

I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work - Thomas Edison
